To develop catalysts using both top-down and bottom-up synthetic strategies; engineering the interior spaces of catalysts and increasing the retention time of reactants and intermediates to enhance conversion rates and selectivity

We will explore various materials options for developing practical catalysts with industrial potential for green fuel production. With fundamental knowledge and new discoveries on reactivity of catalysts and interrelationship among their composition, structure and reaction intermediates and products, we will then develop catalysts using both top-down and bottom-up synthetic strategies, Based on this, we will be able to engineer interior spaces of catalysts, for higher conversion and selectivity.

We aim to design catalysts at a higher level of sophistication and precision, but at a much lower cost.
